Simpson Dura-Vent product information update. This Field Bulletin is to keep you, our customers, better informed about Simpson Dura-Vent products and changes.

Type B Gas Vent Product Improvements

SDV is adding additional features to the Type B gas vent line. First is a locking tab on all 3” – 8” Pipe Lengths, Elbows, Tees, and Y’s. Secondly, we have added a 360° swivel feature to all 3”-8” Elbows, Tees and Y’s. These additional features will be added as a running change beginning in July. It will take about ninety days to turn-over factory inventories. All products with the additional features are completely interchangeable with you existing inventory.

360° Swivel for Elbows, Tees, and Y’s

3” to 8” diameter Type B Gas Vent Elbows, Tees, and Y’s now swivel in 360 degrees. Rotate the Elbow, Tee, or Y for a perfect alignment the first time, every time. No change in product sizes, dimensions or list price.

3” to 8” Gas Vent Elbow – includes swivel no price change

3” to 8” Gas Vent Tee – includes swivel no price change

3” to 8” Gas Vent Y – includes swivel no price change

All products are completely interchangeable with your current inventory.

Type B Gas Vent Lock System

An additional locking feature has been added to all Type B gas vent Pipe Lengths, Elbows, Tees and Y’s. The small locking tabs are located on the twist-lock section.
This provides the installer with an optional secondary lock and a choice of using the
lock or not. When the tab is indented, it prevents the lock from unlocking without the aid of a tool.
